Elizabeth the Great was an empress known for her benevolence and intuitive understanding of what a Russian Empress should be like. Although not Russian she won the peoples hearts and was instated as the sovereign over her husband shortly after their marriage. She learned that for her country to be appreciated the royalty had to become like other European countries. During her reign she started amassing an impressive jewel collection—including one of the largest emerald brooches known the world over.

Design created in Illustrator, then printed on polymer plate for the letterpress. A pearl paper is used for the front and a rich burgundy with gold ink on the back.
